2019 is the Year of the Pig according to the Chinese zodiac calendar.

It is a beautiful, peace loving, social and very lucky animal that is great for money and wealth.

If you were born in the years 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 and of course this year, you will be celebrating with an extra sip of wine<oink, oink>.

As stated on the Chinese New Year website:

“The Pig is the twelfth of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. Pig was late because he overslept. Another story says that a wolf destroyed his house. He had to rebuild his home before he could set off. When he arrived, he was the last one and could only take twelfth place.

The Pig is also associated with the Earthly Branch (地支—dì zhī) hài (亥), and the hours 9–11 in the night. In terms of yin and yang (阴阳—yīn yáng), the Pig is yin. In Chinese culture, pigs are the symbol of wealth.

Their chubby faces and big ears are signs of fortune as well.”

Besides ringing in the new year with a swine and cheese party, how about an entertaining dinner guest that’s not a boar…“sow what?”, you ask?

A pig?

The Stinking Pig Game will also beat the winter blues and cure cabin fever as it will get everybody oinking with great laughter.

Poke his belly to hear him sing and then you can pass him around by rolling the die, but if he toots in your hand then you will get a token and the person with fewest tokens by the end of the game will win.
