First Day of Autumn

Tick tock, tick tock…Soon it will be the summer of 2017 that was. When the calendar changes tomorrow, a new season is upon us.

Welcome first day of Autumn!

Although we are still in the throes of summer heat, coloured leaves, fall harvest, crisp air, sweaters, socks, warm drinks, pumpkins, turkey and Halloween are all creeping up!

Summer is officially coming to a close and Autumn 2017 will begin on Friday September 22 when the clock strikes 4:02 PM. That means we are into the third season and all sorts of fun, fall festivities can take place: Raking leaves and then jumping into a pile, fall decorating, celebrating Oktoberfest, attending a fall festival, hiking, getting lost in a corn maze, apple picking, canning fruit, going for a hayride, visiting a pumpkin patch, Trick or Treating and last but not least, remembering what you are thankful for. The Canadian Thanksgiving is on October 9th. We give thanks for the the harvest and the love and support family and friends give.

With all these mentioned, we have so much to look forward to.

What is your favourite Autumn activity?
