Alice In Wonderland came to a theatre near you on March 5th, 2010, the same day I kick started my “4-OH Festivities”! When I saw the preview,  It was definitely on my list of 40 Things To Experience When I’m 40!

Last night, I saw Alice In Wonderland not only in 3D but at an Imax theatre. Being surrounded by sight, sound and special effects makes your trip to the cinema worth your buck! Not only is it directed by Tim Burton but Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter. As usual, they don’t disappoint. The actress who plays Alice, Mia Wasikowska portrays a determined heroine. Without divulging too much about the plot, it is based roughly around Lewis Carroll’s book but 13 years after the first tumble down the rabbit hole. To my delight, I found it was a treasure trove of eye popping fun! As it’s a tale of Alice’s self discovery, I came out feeling proud to be a female and reminded of myself a bit. Good job Tim Burton! When I have time and go to movies in this day in age, I want to be entertained and I sure was! I left having my funny bone tickled and my eyes treated with a unique vision of electric images. If I could, I would go again and take my seven year old nephew!

Happy 40th Birthday was sung to me for the first time yesterday. “Wonderful friends” placed the digits, “40″ in a delish piece of pie. Oh What a Feeling to see the number, “40″!

Does this confuse you as it does us?

I was attending a Yoga class the other day. I said to a fellow yogi, who has become part of my community there, “I’m celebrating a NEW CHAPTER this year.” She said, “Oh really, I am too. I’m turning 60.” The next day, I told another person who happens to be the instructor but also has become a close confident. She is celebrating a new decade as well. One of us suggested,  we all should celebrate together one day over lunch. Let the festivities begin with an almost “40 year old, 50 year old and a 50 year old!” I think we covered all our bases!:) To note, another woman who is turning 48 teased me by calling me “a baby”
